Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) determined on Friday (7) the unlocking of social networks of digital influencer Bruno Monteiro Aiub, known as Monarchk. He is the target of an inquiry in the Supreme for the accusation of spreading “fraudulent news” about the elections.
Despite releasing social networks, Moraes determined the application of a fine of $ 20,000 in case of reiteration and the withdrawal of posts considered illegal.
The blockages were authorized after Moraes received a report in which the sector to combat the disinformation of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), which was chaired by the minister himself, finds that Monark continued to post videos in new accounts after the first decision that determined the blockade.
In addition to the blockade of social networks, Monark also had the bank accounts blocked, and the monetization of his channels was suspended.
Bruno Aiub’s defense maintains that the inquiry open against the influencer is illegal for treating the alleged conduct of disseminating fake news as a crime.
For lawyers, the conduct of misinformation or fake news has a civil nature and does not authorize the decree of serious measures against the influencer.
Monarch currently lives in the United States.
