Minister Alexandre de Moraes of the Federal Supreme Court (STF) determined the blockade of the accounts of Senator Marcos do Val (Somos-ES). The decision reaches movements made via Pix and credit cards.
The measure was determined after the Parliamentary Traveling to the United States without authorization from the Supreme. Last year, a court decision ordered the senator’s suspension of passports. However, last Wednesday (23), Marcos do Val embarked to Miami with a diplomatic passport, which was not delivered by him to the Federal Police (PF).
The senator is investigated by the STF by the alleged Campaign of attacks on social networks Against Federal Police delegates who were responsible for investigations involving supporters of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
Before leaving the country, the senator asked Alexandre de Moraes to have been authorized to travel, but the request was denied.
In a press release, the senator’s staff confirmed that he traveled with a valid diplomatic passport.
“The diplomatic passport is fully valid until July 31, 2027, without any restrictions. On July 22, 2025, the Senator’s Embassy in Brasilia renewed the official Official Visa (B1/B2), which attests to the full international recognition of its legitimacy and diplomatic regularity,” says the parliamentary note.
* Text changed at 11:21 pm. The Supreme Court clarified that the decision does not reach the senator’s daughter.
