Moquegua: They will not allow outpatient trade in cemeteries on festivities

The regional prefect of Moquegua, Edgar Rea Tito, reported that outpatient commerce will be prohibited in the surroundings of the cemeteries of Nuevo Chen Chen, San Gabriel in the district of Samegua and Águeda Vizcarra de Angulo, in the district of Moquegua. The authorized spaces will be in the surroundings of Plaza Grau.

The agreement was reached by the Prefecture, the Mariscal Nieto Provincial Municipality, the District Municipality of Samegua and the Municipality of the Chen Chen populated center.

Operations to maintain order

The representatives of these entities will carry out operations with the Prevention Prosecutor’s Office to prevent outpatient commerce from being installed on Andrés A. Cáceres Avenue, the Binational road and others surrounding the cemeteries.

Rea Tito pointed out that on the long holiday for All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day, locals near cemeteries will not be allowed to sell alcoholic beverages.

“What is sought is not to congest the areas and that there is free transit due to the demand of those attending the cemeteries,” Rea said in statements to the press.
