The councilor of the Provincial Municipality of Mariscal Nieto, Santiago Villanueva Mamani Yucra, indicated that there are observations and disagreements in the election of Carlos Ponce Zambrano as municipal manager, due to the complaints and irregularities that he would have had when he served in the mayoral administration of Hugo Quispe Mamani and in the regional management of Zenón Cuevas.

Villanueva pointed out that he will not be close to or accompany Mayor Jhon Larry Coayla because he represents the population and is committed to carrying out inspection work; however, he considered that in the face of the questions against the municipal manager, evidence must be presented of what is attributed to him.
Presented inconclusive report
“We have to evaluate it. In the first session of the council, the majority of councilors did not agree with his appointment, because they know his background, but there must be documents to prove it, ”said the councilor.

Another of the councilors who questioned the municipal manager was Nicolás Saenz Pascual, because he presented an inconclusive report on the transfer of management at the council session, describing his work as improvised.
New term for manager
For his part, Jhon Larry declared that he gave the manager more time to present the report. “Until the end of January, the deadline has been given for him to give a complete report on the municipal situation and what will be done in the future,” said the authority, who in turn said he had no problems with the supervision of the councilors.
On the other hand, the city authority announced that work will soon begin on the creation of the Moquegua Municipal Fund, but that it does not ensure its operation. “It is not yet known if it will be possible, but the attempt will be made, as long as the Superintendency of Banking and Insurance (SBS) allows it,” the mayor said.
