The same or similar experience, he reported, has been implemented with satisfactory results in the work carried out on the busy stretch of 27 de Febrero avenues between Isabel Aguiar, 6 de Noviembre and Plaza de la Bandera, to mainly decongest traffic. towards the 10 provinces of the Southern region and a large part of the southwest and northwest areas of Santo Domingo.
“Similar provisions have been adopted in the 510 road works completed and inaugurated by the MOPC throughout the national territory in the 2020-2024 government administration of President Luis Abinader,” the MOPC reports in a statement.
Due to the extension, complexity and enormous vehicular flow supported by the Duarte Highway, national highway #1, the Ministry has dedicated a copious flow of information to the media and especially to journalists who cover the source of infrastructure works.
That is why on Saturday, September 14, Minister Deligne Ascención, some vice ministers, directors of the Communications area of the MOPC and contractors of the work, took a tour with journalists from different media and TV and radio programs, from kilometer 9 to Santiago , explaining the progress that this important work had until then presented, explains the statement.
They add that the route began with a stop at kilometer 9, where it was reported that the following Tuesday, September 17, several lanes of the work would be provisionally enabled so that the work in progress would allow the passage of the hundreds of thousands of vehicles that travel that area. round trip route.
It is a routine procedure in this type of work, which includes paving, detours, signage and other provisional works to alternate work with traffic and not interrupt the flow of traffic.
“Although this information about the provisional opening of lanes was provided by Minister Ascención in person to the communicators, the public has been informed that it was an inauguration of the highway works, which does not correspond to the truth” , points out the official statement.
