Santo Domingo.– The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River will remain closed to vehicular traffic this Saturday, November 22, due to the passage of a boat.
Reason for closure
The interruption of traffic is scheduled between 10:00 in the morning and 12:00 noon, in order to allow the departure of the ship M/V Atlantic from the Joseph Industrial Development Corp. Shipyard, located on the river bank.

Public Works called on drivers who use this connection between the National District and Santo Domingo Este to organize their trips in advance and use alternate routes while the measure lasts, in order to avoid setbacks.
The institution explained that this temporary closure is part of the maritime coordination protocols aimed at ensuring both the safety of navigation maneuvers and that of the citizens who use this structure daily.
