He Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) called on drivers traveling on the different roads of the country, so that on the occasion of the Christmas festivities they take due precautions in places where construction and repair work on road infrastructure is carried out, in order to avoid occurrence of unfortunate accidents.
The official entity specifically referred to the care that must be taken when moving vehicles in those places where work of a certain magnitude is carried outas on the Duarte highway and 27 de Febrero avenue with Isabel Aguiar.

Regarding the Duarte highway, he highlighted the neuralgic points to take into account, such as the Santo Cerro crossing, the El Pino-7’S bridge section, the Acero Estrella crossing, the Río Verde bridge (La Penda), Loma Miranda in the Santiago-Santo Domingo direction, Arroyo Vuelta-Piedra Blanca section, and Kilometer 30 toll.
“Those are the neuralgic points where work is being done on the Duarte highway, and where there is opening of ditches, closed lanes and points where there is greater conflict in traffic,” said the official entity.
The MOPC has carried out preventive signseven in some places indicating where there is a narrow gauge.
Regarding the work taking place on 27 de Febrero Avenue with Isabel Aguiar, Public Works reported that regarding the North-South connectionsthe project was working on a regular schedule until December 20, but there will be a schedule for December 24 and the Christmas and New Year festivities.
He announced that during this period “the construction of the bus bay located at the intersection of Prolongación 27 de Febrero avenue and Isabel Aguiar avenue will be completed, as for the underpass, the work related to underground drainage and regularization concrete will be completed. of the west ramp, and the excavation of the east ramp.”
Also, the work related to the dissipation lagoon and the landscaping of the areas around ramps 03 and 04 will be concluding.
Likewise, the start of work on the Flag Squarewith perimeter fence and beginning of the piles.
Starting Monday, December 23, project activities will continue to be concentrated within the trench, focused on the work on the bottom slab and side walls of the west ramp, as well as drainage and regularization of the east ramp. On Tuesday, January 7, 2025, the project will return to its regular activities and schedule.
