Saint Dominic.– The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported the temporary and scheduled closure of the Floating Bridge over the Ozama River, as a preventive measure, this Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 10:00 in the morning to 12:00 noon.
Vessel transit
The institution explained that the opening of the structure will be carried out to allow the transit of the vessel MV BELLE LASHUN A-59786, coming from the Joseph Industrial Development Corp, SRL shipyard, an action that is essential to guarantee the safety of navigation in the area.
Closing period
During the closure period, the MOPC recommended that drivers use the Juan Bosch Bridge and the Ramón Matías Mella Bridge (17 Bridge) as alternate routes, to travel between Santo Domingo Este and the National District.
