A provisional diversion of the vehicular bridge towards the center of La Chorrera has been enabled by the Ministry of Public Works and the company Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras, SLU Panama.
This diversion is due to the fact that the pile drilling works are being carried out for piers 9,10, 11 and 12 that are part of the project “Expansion to six (6) lanes – Corredor de las Playas (Section: Chorrera -Santa Cruz, in the Province of West Panama).
The MOP reported that it will maintain the provisional diversion until these works are completed, in addition, they indicated that they have taken all the security measures required by the Transit and Land Transportation Authority such as: preventive signs, placement of New Jersey barriers and the authorization of a additional lane at the entrance to the highway that gives greater accessibility.
The MOP and the company Puentes y Calzadas Infraestructuras, SLU Panamá, apologized to the users of this road for the inconveniences that these works may cause and urged them to take the pertinent precautions.
