Monument to the Fallen was vandalized on January 9, a woman was arrested

Police units apprehend a destitute woman, after she vandalized the monument made by the Panamanian artist Luis Gálvez in honor of the Martyrs of January 9, located on Los Mártires avenue, in the township of Santa Ana.

Deputy Commissioner Roberto Rodríguez, Chief of the 8th Metro West Police Zone, said that the arrest took place upon receipt of the citizen alert that the woman was destroying this monument, for which reason the police units immediately went to the place.

She was taken to receive medical attention and then taken to the police substation to be placed under the orders of the corresponding authorities for this case of vandalism to State property.
