The spokesman for the Renovación Popular caucus, Jorge Montoyaassured that they already have a motion of censure against the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo, which they will present before the Board of Spokespersons of Congress this Monday, February 28.
“If we verify that these statements are true -because the judicial issue can last for years- if it is true, we will present the motion (of censure) tomorrow. We have it ready”said this Sunday to RPP.
Montoya specified that the motion will be presented to the spokespersons of all the benches without signatures to agree on it and then just proceed to circulate it to collect the support of various parliamentarians.
SIGHT: “If it is verified, the vacancy is immediate. We have the motion ready,” said Montoya.
“We are going to put the spokesperson on the table to see if they agree with the terms. If they agree, we will start running it and if not, we will correct it according to what the majority asks for”detailed the congressman.
Jorge Montoya also demanded that this Monday, after the Board of Spokespersons, a plenary session be held to evaluate the actions to be taken. “with a serious head, analyzing issues and seeing what is best for the health of the country”.
The spokesman for Renovación Popular said, on the other hand, President Pedro Castillo in his message to the Nation is harming the work of the Public Ministry by accusing the prosecution of wanting to destabilize the Government.

“The president does not accept anything that he is being accused of, he is trying to put the blame on other actors. He cannot say that the prosecution is not doing his job because he is doing it, rather it is necessary to guarantee that he can finish it. You cannot continue a job interrupted by statements by the president in this way“, he pointed.
