Monteávila, IESA and Los Arcos join forces to train the entrepreneurs of the future

The Monteavila Universityin alliance with the Institute of Higher Studies of Administration (IESA) and Colegio Los Arcos, announces the launch of an innovative diploma in entrepreneurship and innovation aimed at fourth and fifth year high school students.

This academic program aims to inspire, train and accompany young people in the complete project creation process, from the conception of the idea to the final presentation. The initiative seeks to strengthen entrepreneurial thinking at a key stage of personal and vocational development.

“We have formed a spectacular triangle of alliances between Los Arcos, IESA and us to be able to provide high school students with the best level so that they can produce their ideas,” said Gerardo Fernández, academic vice-rector of the Monteávila University.

The diploma lasts 192 hours, distributed into six modules. Each module addresses essential topics such as leadership, self-knowledge, innovation methodology, strategy, business models, initial finances, cost strategy, marketing, tools such as the Canvas methodology and public speaking, networking and public relations techniques.

Currently, the program has 23 fourth-year students enrolled. The academic proposal was carefully designed by the Monteávila University and the IESA, with content adapted to the needs of young people and teachers specialized in pedagogical methodologies for this audience.

“With this diploma they can even begin to think about a commercial or social entrepreneurship idea, turn it into a business plan and present it to both their parents and interested companies,” said María José González, director of Professional Development at Monteávila University.

This diploma represents a valuable opportunity for students to explore their interests, develop key skills and begin to define their professional vocation with an innovative and transformative perspective.

The current undergraduate offering at the UMA includes the following majors: Social Communication, Business Administration, Economics, Law, Mechatronics Engineering, Telematics Engineering, Computer Engineering in Data Science, Operations and Logistics Engineering and Education. Classes are held in the Lomas del Sol Building.

Undergraduate pre-registrations for the period 2025-2026 are open.
