The director of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps, Douglas Rico, reported that the monster from Punta de la Garza, Nueva Esparta, was captured, suspected of taking the lives of mother and children.
Rico indicated that agents from the Coordination of Crimes Against Persons of the Punta de Piedras Municipal Delegation clarified the atrocious femicide and infanticide of Onelia del Valle Guerra Gómez (28) and her young children, Jhovanny Enrique García Guerra (11) and Yoharlys Nazareth García War (9). Rafael Mendoza, 55 years old, was identified as responsible for the incident.
The investigative body determined that the victim and her children, in the early morning of December 17, went to their home after sharing, when Rafael—blinded by anger and because his partner did not want to continue the romantic relationship—chose to attack Onelia.
After ending the life of the unfortunate young woman, he attacked the children, whom he also strangled.
