On Thursday, January 26, in a hotel in the capital, Monreal met with those Committees, protested and instructed them: “Once the law allows us, we will go to all the states and municipalities and you are my eyes, my face.” , my representation.
“You are the ones who are going to lead us in the districts, in the states, who are going to make the call, who are going to defend the project,” he said.
I share the protest that we carried out to 300 district representatives and 32 state committees of the reconciliation project.
In difficult moments, disqualification does not defeat us. Cause and reason assist us. Good Sunday! pic.twitter.com/c09Lwsb0w1— Ricardo Monreal A. (@RicardoMonrealA)

This Sunday, January 29, Monreal announced the formation of these Committees in a video posted on Twitter, where he shared part of his message and images, in which Néstor Núñez, national coordinator of Reconciliation for Mexico, the political scientist Gibrán Ramírez and Alejandro Rojas Díaz Durán.
“The idea is not to confront the president, let’s respect him and walk ourselves,” he asked and, although he insisted that he will remain in Morena, once again he warned that he will remain there “up to the limit of dignity.”
“If they close the door, if they persecute us, if they stigmatize us, if they disqualify us, then we could not do anything but look on the horizon that suits Mexico,” he added.
Monreal has explained that he will not anticipate the legal times allowed to run the campaign – a period that would begin in December 2023 – so as not to place himself illegally or be subject to sanctions, such as being prevented from being a presidential candidate.
However, as a result of the letter that the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado, addressed on January 14 to the 22 governors emanating from that party to ask them to invite all the candidates for the Morena candidacy, Monreal has accelerated its activism.
