The daily epidemiological report issued by the Ministry of Health registers new cases of monkeypox in the country. As has been the case for several days, the department of Santa Cruz is the only region that continues to increase this type of disease. This Wednesday six new cases have been confirmed and the total figure in the country rises to 161 confirmed cases..
The number of patients recovered from smallpox is maintained. There are 61 people who have managed to beat the diseaseso 100 active cases remain.
By department, Santa Cruz has the highest number of registered infections. Almost all the cases are concentrated in the eastern region, with 146 confirmed. Cochabamba with 7, La Paz with 6, continue on the list that is completed with a case in both Potosí and Chiquisaca.
The Ministry of maintains surveillance of active patients through monitoring and follow-up work carried out by departmental health services.
The Santa Cruz Departmental Health Service has recorded 1,657 tests on this Wednesday. 3% of tests have come back positive, which means 45 new cases of covid.
Most of the cases, 84%, are concentrated in the capital city of the department. Santa Cruz de la Sierra accumulates 38 cases. Another five municipalities complete the positive cases. In Camiri and Porongo have identified 2 new cases; while El Puente, Roboré and Samaipata add one case each.
35 people have sold the disease, according to the report delivered by Headquarters. The same report does not record fatalities from covid.
The health system cares for 15 people who require hospitalization in the different therapy rooms, of which 11 are attached to a mechanical respirator. Meanwhile, 14 patients are recovering in covid rooms installed in different hospitals.
For this day, the vaccination centers placed 1,081 doses against the virus.
Most recovered nationally
From the Ministry of Health, the greater number of recovered than infected is highlighted. At the Bolivian level, 454 patients have overcome the disease. This same report indicates the validity of 127 new cases of covid.
By departments, Santa Cruz, with 45, heads the list. La Paz (39), Cochabamba (22), Oruro (10), Tarija (6), Chuquisaca (3) and Potosí (2), complete the list.
Regarding the people recovered, La Paz leads the list with 267 people healed. Next Tarija with 96.
