The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, assured that part of the money stolen from Citgo was used for violence in Venezuela by extremist and fascist groups. “All of this is in the process of who was given Citgo money by authorization of the United States Government.”
Likewise, he pointed out that when Guaidó called himself “President of the Republic” in a public square, “he did so because it was a plan designed in the United States to steal Venezuela’s assets and ignore the legitimate Government of President Maduro.”
“These are the actors of fascism, of extremism, which is a gang that promises to deliver to the United States Government the largest oil reserves in the world, as well as gas and gold reserves, this is what they have promised and they want to access political power to execute these plans, but they will not be able to, because the Venezuelan people have a very high awareness of what it means to be in union and defense of the homeland,” he highlighted.
These statements were made by the Executive Vice President during a press conference, where she strongly rejected the decision adopted in the judicial procedure of the “forced sale” of the Citgo company that has been executed by the United States authorities, to the detriment of the interests of the nation and its entities.
