The Spanish political scientist Juan Carlos Monedero revealed that the major media are already preparing the noise for the inauguration of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, which will take place on January 10.
Through a video published on his Telegram channel, Monedero rejected that these sectors that focus on Maduro think little of what is happening in Syria, Lebanon, the genocide in Gaza, whose events have turned 2024 into one of the years sadder
The political scientist questioned whether far-right leader María Corina Machado aspires for what happened in Syria to happen in Venezuela. “That there are people who, in the name of democracy, defend that, because it leaves a lot to be desired,” he added.
He highlighted that if Machado and Edmundo González had the minutes of the presidential elections of July 28, they would have been published by media outlets such as El País, El Mundo, La Gaceta, El Nacional, El Mercurio de Chile, El Clarín de Argentina, CNN, among others. .
“What they do is shake up a few minutes that are surely from the tables where they won, but they do not present the minutes, just as they did not present them when the Supreme Court of Justice demanded them. Because? Because they don’t have them,” he stressed.
Monedero also condemned that the newspaper El País had published an editorial in which it stated that “power is still in dispute almost 5 months after the elections.” Even that he supported the text with the right-wing narrative that gives Edmundo González as the supposed winner.
“I wish that in Spain, instead of having internal politics with Venezuela, instead of giving shelter to so many scoundrels in Madrid of those who buy entire buildings, instead of following the United States and its war needs, it would help everyone and all Venezuelan women will recover dialogue, the sanctions will end, those who left will be able to return and we will remember more about all those places where every day innocent people are being killed with violence, hunger or disease,” he noted.
