Because the Plurinational State Day falls on Sunday, January 22, the holiday was moved to the following Monday. The provision was confirmed through a statement issued by the Ministry of Labor.

“On Sunday, January 22, 2023, the Day of the Foundation of the Plurinational State of Bolivia is commemorated, constituting a national holiday. Since the aforementioned holiday falls on a Sunday, in accordance with the provisions of article 3 of the Supreme Decree 2750, of May 1, 2016, the same is transferred to Monday, January 23, 2023, constituting consequently, in a national holiday with suspension of public and private activitiesthroughout the territory of the Plurinational State of Bolivia”, reads the most relevant part of the document.

This weekend will be long.

According to the National Meteorology and Hydrology Service, high temperatures will be felt in the Santa Cruz capital, but under cloudy skies.

A minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius is expected for Saturday; while the maximum will reach 32. Likewise, there will be cloudy skies and a relative humidity of the environment that will oscillate between 43% and 73%.

The Sunday, January 22, the temperature will rise from 23 to 33 degrees Celsius, with cloudy skies. While for Monday, January 23, clear skies are expected with temperatures ranging from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.
