Monagas farmers bet on peace and food production

This Friday, August 9, agricultural producers, livestock farmers, peasants and aquaculturists from Monagas gathered at the Chucho Palacios Fairgrounds in Maturín to speak out in favor of peace and support for the victory of re-elected President Nicolas Maduro.

Members of the agricultural and livestock sector pointed out that peace is essential for food production and the development of the country and repudiated the acts of violence that seek to destabilize Venezuela.

We don’t want hate, we want peace

Alfredo Cabrera, a producer from Monagas, indicated that the will of the people must be respected, as well as the Venezuelan powers, including the Electoral Power, the institution that was in charge of the elections of July 28.

“We do not want hate, we want peace. We producers and farmers will continue working and producing food for our beloved country to turn it into a true power. We ratify our position of support for President Maduro, who was reelected by the majority of Venezuelans for the period 2025-2031,” said Cabrera on behalf of the farmers.

In this regard, Luisa Guedez and Carolina Santa Rosa indicated that the agricultural sector, farmers and ranchers feel protected since the Bolivarian Revolution with the government policies employed by the national government and the laws that favor the development of the entire productive sector of the country.

For his part, Jesús Javier Palacios, on behalf of the producers of Monagas, said that “they support the people’s decision to support the president, who has been the guarantor of maintaining peace, development and growth in the country.

“Our call will always be for peace and production in the country, this will allow us to advance in the growth and development of Venezuela,” he said.

Alfredo Cabrera, an agricultural producer, who expressed that they reject US interventionism and support peace.

“We will continue working and leading the country, producing food, producing everything that is required for this path to a powerful Venezuela,” he said.
