In the Ezequiel Zamora municipality of Monagas state, the ninth anniversary of the Great Homes of the Homeland Mission was celebrated, at the facilities of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), this social mission being a protection tool promoted by President Nicolás Maduro to benefit the heads of households, as reported by the Instagram of the mayor’s office of this jurisdiction.
Anny Aguilera, municipal coordinator of Hogares de la Patria, reported that in the municipality there are some 17,000 heads of household who have this income, and that, currently, at the national level, the president has approximately six millions of families protected.
“In Ezequiel Zamora, the census was born for the inclusion in the Ali Primera and Jerusalén mission bases of the El Tejero parish and no less than 17,000 heads of households were counted here,” said Aguilera.
Capturing new income by scanning the Homeland card
Through the Somos Venezuela movement, new income is captured by scanning the Homeland card, In addition to being deployed in the communities with the intention of organizing and integrating these new beneficiaries into the family committees of the community councils, Aguilera said.
Finally, he said that within the framework of the anniversary, a boost to the mission is planned for the inclusion of a new figure throughout the national territory.
Homes of the Motherland
The Great Homes of the Homeland Mission was created in 2014, with the aim of strengthening public policies for the benefit of Venezuelan families affected by the blockade and sanctions.
In January 2018, the Bonus Plan was launched through the Homeland Card for the Great Homes of the Homeland Mission. After the arrival of the pandemic, the national president increased this type of financial aid.
