The councilor for Democrats, Manuel ‘Mamen’ Saavedra will request a report from the Santa Cruz Mayor’s Office on the Toyota truck Hilux with plate 3597-CNX that was used in battles during the first day of strike in support of the census, since he considers that “There are many doubts and few answers” for this case.
“Here is a big lie. How they were caught using an official vehicle (of the municipality) causing excessesthe easiest thing that these people (officials) thought is to give it as stolenbut that lie gives way to other lies that we are going to reveal these days”, said the councilor in telephone contact with EL DEBER.
Saavedra recalled that in August 2021 reported the disappearance of 54 vehicles of the Mayor’s Office and believes that the Hilux truck could be on this list. To verify or rule out this hypothesis, it will request a report from the municipality on the status and movements made by the official vehicle.
In addition, it will adhere to the complaint that presented this Monday two municipal officials before Diprove, in which they reported the theft of the truck 14 hours after the fact. The councilman wants to know the details of the case and is struck by the delay in reporting the incident. “If a vehicle is stolen, he immediately files a complaint,” he added.
For his part, the Councilor for the Autonomous Community, Juan Carlos Medrano, Monday night came to Monseñor Salvatierra streetin the vicinity of La Mansión, to search the abandoned truck after using it in the clashes.
Medrano said, during a live broadcast on his social networks, that inside the motorized there were some firecrackers and beer cansfor which he questioned whether it is used by strangers to cause anxiety during the stoppage.
Diprove’s troops took the Mayor’s van to their offices to initiate investigations, after the complaint filed by two municipal officials.
