The Minister of the Environment (Minam), Modesto Montoya, was confident that the Ministerial Cabinet headed by Aníbal Torres will obtain the vote of confidence from the Congress of the Republic. The investiture session is scheduled for next Tuesday, March 8.
“I fully trust that we will have the vote of confidence in Congress. There have been signs like these friendship events from one side to the other. I already felt a certain approach”, expressed Montoya in an interview with Canal N, on Monday 21.
At another time, the head of the Minam dismissed that the Executive led by Pedro Castillo is a management with a communist character.

“There was talk that Professor Pedro Castillo was going to nationalize kiosks, stores, but it is clear that this is not the case. There are no those communist threats that some feared”, he highlighted.
Confidence vote
Although at first he requested that the investiture date be brought forward to February 28, President Pedro Castillo confirmed last Saturday that the Ministerial Cabinet will appear before the national representation on March 8.
On that day, the Prime Minister will present the general policy of the Government and the main measures required by his administration. In addition, he will presenta proposal to strengthen democracy in our country”, as he advanced in a letter sent to the president of Parliament, María del Carmen Alva (Popular Action).
With a view to obtaining the vote of confidence, Aníbal Torres organized a round of dialogue with legislative benches. However, his meeting with Fuerza Popular, Renovación Popular and Avanza País did not materialize, the latter group announcing that it will not grant him a vote of confidence.
