This, as recommended in the final report of the Subcommittee on Constitutional Accusations.
On that occasion, fifty-four legislators supported the proposal against Cordero Jon Tay who, until that date, had been serving a 120-day suspension from the exercise of his functions since December 2023, which was recommended by the Parliament’s Ethics Commission.
The new vote was carried out under the auspices of reconsideration requests made by Susel Paredes and Nelcy Heidinger.
The case of the parliamentarian, who entered Congress as part of the Fuerza Popular list, was brought to light in April of last year. This was after one of her employees denounced salary cuts.
