A group of people mobilized this morning until the Arequip Main Squareto request the closure of the Congress of the Republic and new electionsdespite the fact that the new authority asked the population and the authorities for a truce for democratic stability.
The demonstrators rejected the oath of Dina Boluarte as President of the Republic, after the vacancy of Pedro Castillo Terrones, as well as the refusal of the armed forces in obeying the provisions of Castillo.

However, it should be noted that the provisions of the former president, regarding the closure of Congress, were considered as a Coup, because the decision to dissolve Congress was personal and it was not an agreement of the members of the Council of Ministers.
It should be remembered that last night, hundreds of residents also went out to march and branded the current president of the Republic as a traitor.
