Authorities located the lifeless body of Kelvin Yoel Ramos Rosales, 29, who was reported missing this Thursday, December 25 while bathing at Los Cocos beach in Ocumare de la Costa.
The discovery occurred after 10 a.m. this Friday, when the body was spotted by fishermen near the La Boca sector, who reported the news to the authorities.
The search protocols for the young man from the Aragüeña town of Magdaleno began immediately on Thursday morning, thanks to the coordinated work of Civil Protection officials, Aragua Firefighters, PNB, GNB and the National Organization for Rescue and Aquatic Aid (Onsa).
According to the information reported by the authorities, during the initial incident, the deceased young man’s fiancee, identified as Génesis Machado (20), and Angélica Morales (44), a family member, were rescued, who received first aid and are in good health.
New drowning attempt
This Friday, December 26, a new drowning attempt was reported involving 4 people in the Malecón de Ocumare de la Costa spa.
The bathers identified as Camila Gutiérrez (16), Adelin Gutiérrez (12), Juan Arismendis (42) and Marveli Tollo (52), were rescued and are stable and out of danger.
Authorities warned citizens about the importance of respecting signs and swimming in supervised areas.
