A minor under the age of 14, who had been missing since December 20, was found lifeless one kilometer away from the place where he disappeared, in the province of Chiriquí.
The discovery of the body was made by the Joint Task Force, some 200 meters away from the Mi Ambiente Wildlife Refuge, in La Barqueta Beach.
Armando Palacios, director of the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC), in Chiriquí, said that volunteer personnel and SINAPROC officials, together with SENAN, Police, Firefighters and family members, carried out the search work that ended after 5:20 a.m. yesterday afternoon.
The minor, who was a resident of the El Dorado Urbanization, in the David Sur township, in the province of Chiriquí, became the 12th victim, by immersion, so far in 2022.
