Amalia Romy Peereboom, a 21-year-old Dutch tourist who had been reported missing since July 27, was found this morning by agents of the Peruvian National Police (PNP), according to Commander Luis Cordero, head of the Criminal Investigation Division of Cusco, who confirmed to RPP.
The young woman was found doing odd jobs to raise money to return to the Netherlands. Although communication difficulties were encountered, it was learned that she had lost her belongings, presumably due to a robbery, although no complaints were filed in this regard, according to the police.
“She would have been doing odd jobs, as reported, to earn money to be able to return to her country. It has been revealed by her that she had lost her belongings, in the little Spanish she can speak she indicates robbery. We presume that since there has been no complaint, what may have been is that she has lost her things on these tours that can be done in the city.”said.
