Missing baby case; Hospital San Pablo needs G. 3,000 million for security guard services

Vicente Acuña, director of the San Pablo Hospital, pointed out that what happened with the baby was caused by a combination of situations, first of all, the fact that the mother was alone, considering that patients always have a relative close to them. .

“Babies from birth are in the care of their mothers, because what is called joint accommodation is done. So there are a number of things that happened for this to happen. The cameras could have allowed us to see who committed the crime but it would not have helped to avoid it. We do not have guards, the personnel who control the entrance to the therapies are administrative personnel, from general services who act as doormen. So the only thing we can do is see with the personnel we have, that there are also controls on the second floor, ”she commented.

For the hospital to hire a company that provides security services, it must have between G. 2,500 to G. 3,000 million.

“The hospital has many entrances, we could limit ourselves to guarding only the building, and it would have another amount. But there are also problems with parking, that’s why you have to guard everything, ”he said.

Acuña said that if the hospital had uniformed security guards, that simple fact would make people a little more afraid to carry out criminal acts.

On Friday, around 3:00 p.m., a woman offered to take care of a baby while her mother took a shower. As the victim was alone, she accepted her help, leaving the newborn alone with the stranger. Leaving her, she realizes that her creature and the woman were no longer there.
