Former President of the Council of Ministers Mirtha Vasquez supported the interpretation of the Nation’s prosecutor, Pablo Sánchez, regarding article 117 of the Constitution. The reading of the outgoing head of the Public Ministry is that of investigate President Pedro Castillo during his tenure.
In statements to the press, Vásquez Chuquilin recalled that said article “has had different interpretations because the only thing that the Constitution prohibits is that there be an accusation.”
