“For this reason, in the face of the new government of President Gustavo Petro, the bench made up of senators Ana Paola Agudelo, Manuel Virgüez Piraquive and Carlos Eduardo Guevaraas well as the representative Irma Luz Herrera, will accompany the initiatives that are of benefit to Colombians, as has been characteristic of the Mira Party, and will present constructive observations in each instance, contributing our experience and vision of the country, and persevering in the defense and guarantee of the fundamental rights and freedoms of our voters”, indicates the party’s statement.

“We managed make visible the existence of ‘independence’ as a legitimate position of parties and movements in public corporationsin order to promote dialogue, constructive proposals and support for government initiatives and policies that favor citizens, without compromising their ideology or taking part in the polarization between the government and the opposition,” he said.
