He Cuban Neuroscience Center (CNEURO) and MSMEs AVANGENIO signed a contract for the co-development of products in the field of medicine, as reported by this private company on its social networks on Thursday.
According to the information, this is the first time that a state institution and a MSME establish an alliance for the co-development of medical solutions.
The new agreement will allow AVANGENIO and CNEURO to combine experiences and knowledge in the area of technology and medicine to develop innovative and far-reaching solutions, the information points out.
Previously, AVANGENIO provided technological services to projects with a high social impact of that institution, but the framework of the new contract will allow both a closer collaboration in product development, he stresses.
“We are very excited to scale up our collaboration with CNEURO,” said Giulio Ricci, AVANGENIO’s business director.
“The fusion of our strengths and abilities will allow us to create digital solutions in medicine that will make a difference in the lives of many people.”
This collaboration represents a significant step on the path towards greater integration and cooperation between the state sector and MSMEs, particularly in the health sector, where innovation and the development of new technologies and products are essential to improve the quality of life and well-being of the population, reiterates the Facebook message.

AVANGENIO is one of the first MSMEs created in Cuba, its nature is private and it is based in Havana, according to the public list of the Ministry of Economy and Planning of Cuba (MEP). It is dedicated to the development of software and digital solutions.
The number of MSMEs approved since September 2021 amounts to 7,718. They can be private, state-owned, and non-agricultural cooperatives. They coexist with the socialist state company, considered a priority for the island’s authorities.
