MinTIC presented tools to support digital transformation

The Ministry of ICT presented this Thursday two new tools, in order to continue advancing in the digital transformation of the State and the private sector. It is about the ‘Manual of Good Practices for the design of programs for the digital Business transformation and the Digital Checkup platform.

The ICT minister, Carmen Ligia Valderrama Rojas, explained that the Manual of Good Practices is a roadmap for public institutions and other actors that promote digitization “have a series of common guidelines, which allow to provide clarity, unify criteria and standardize work processes during the formulation of projects of this type in the companies of the country“.

The document is divided into four main stages of the process of designing and executing initiatives of business digital transformation: discovery, definition, development and delivery. Each section has steps and tools.

In the same way, the Digital Checkup tool was presented, an online platform that allows any micro, small or medium-sized company in the country, in just 25 minutes and free of charge, to know their level of digital maturity, obtain a set of recommendations for improve their technology adoption and digital skillsas well as identify their strengths and weaknesses before starting a technology adoption process.

This instrument analyzes different dimensions of the company such as; processes and innovation, digital skills, organization and human talent, data and analytics, among others, which allows generating a global diagnosis in each one of the aspects of the MSME to generate a digital transformation route adapted to the needs of each entrepreneur“, explained the MinTIC.
