The regime does not allude to the political situation that Venezuela is experiencing after the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores.
MIAMI, United States. – The Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) of Cuba reported that “the return flow to Cuba of health professionals” who provide services in Venezuela has been normalized, after a period of logistical interruption that, according to the official version, prevented for months the return to the Island of personnel who had to leave for vacation or the end of their mission.
According to the note released this Thursday in Infomedthe regular travel process “was affected by difficulties in air transportation,” a situation that, the text adds, “was later made more complex by the closure of Venezuelan airspace and the consequent suspension of all commercial flights.”
The communication maintains that this closure, described as “an exceptional measure,” caused “the temporary accumulation of collaborators” who had concluded their work commitment or who were due to rest, without the possibility of immediate transfer to Cuba.
According to MINSAP, with the reestablishment of international air operations to and from Venezuela “the mechanisms to resolve the accumulated delay were immediately activated” and “this week, in an organized and progressive manner, flights have been resumed” for the return to the Island.
The official text states that the resumption “marks the end of the interruption and the return to normality of the mobility cycle of Cuban medical collaboration” in that country, “ensuring compliance with contractual deadlines and the right to rest of professionals.” The note does not specify how many employees were affected by the delay, how many flights were scheduled, what routes were used or which airlines participated in the reactivation.
In parallel, the MINSAP account in spread a message along the same lines. However, he did not allude to the political situation that Venezuela is experiencing after the capture of Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, to be tried in New York.
