MINSAP denies versions about new immigration regulations

MADRID, Spain.- The Cuban Government has denied the rumors that have been circulating in recent years about new immigration regulations for medical specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine (MGI) or recent graduates.

“Based on false information that is circulating on social networks about the permission that some health professionals must request to travel abroad for private matters, the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) clarifies that there are no new regulations for the exit of the country of the workers of the sector”, indicated the entity this Saturday.

Through a informative note published on its website, the MINSAP recalled that on December 1, 2015, “Resolution No. 994 of the Ministry of Public Health entered into force as an internal procedure to be applied by the administration of the units of the National Health System, to workers who are subject to the regulations of Decree 306 of October 11, 2012 on the treatment of cadres, professionals and athletes who require authorization to travel abroad.

“This immigration policy approved in 2015 is maintained. There is no immigration regulation for medical specialists in Comprehensive General Medicine, or recently graduated doctors,” the Cuban authorities insisted.

The Cuban Ministry of Public Health also clarified that it is not the policy of the health sector to add new regulations.
