Minsal will meet with the isapres work table to address the current situation of insurers

The meeting between the Ministry of Health and the work table of the isapres was set for this Tuesday, January 17. The reason for the meeting is to analyze the risks of the private system after the Supreme Court ruling, which established that all health and complementary plans must apply the table of factors of the Superintendency of Health, which came into effect in 2020. .

In this sense, the Minister of Health, Ximena Aguilera, reaffirmed that the position of the Government of President Boric is to resist the pressure of the Association of Isapres. This, since according to Aguilera from the Executive they have focused on working with “prudence”.

“We fully and permanently monitor the changes, the accesses to Fonasa, and we have noticed an increase within the normal range. Queries within the Fonasa branches have also increased,” added the head of Fonasa.

As established by the Supreme Court, the Superintendence of Health has until next June to determine how the ruling of the highest court will be applied, which ordered that all health and complementary plans must apply the table of factors of the Superintendency of Health that entered into force in 2020.
