Of the total number of cases reported in the last 24 hours nationwide, 13% are diagnosed by antigen test, 25% originate from Active Case Search (BAC) and 27% of those notified are asymptomatic. The Metropolitan Region, for its part, presents 15% by antigen, 22% by BAC and 24% of the reported cases are asymptomatic.
By sampling, the regions with the highest positivity are O’Higgins, Metropolitana, Valparaíso and Coquimbo. While the highest incidence rate at the national level per 100,000 inhabitants is registered in the Metropolitan Region, followed by Antofagasta, Tarapacá and Aysén.
Of the total of new new cases of Covid-19, 1,421 correspond to symptomatic people and 537 do not present symptoms. In addition, 292 unreported Positive PCR tests were recorded.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country reaches 1,695,048. Of these, 11,620 are active. The recovered cases are 1,641,786.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours there were 14 deaths. The total death toll is 37,757 in the country.
To date, 463 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 378 are on mechanical ventilation support. Regarding the Integrated Health Network, there are 253 critical beds available.
In relation to the Laboratory Network and the diagnostic capacity, yesterday 68,794 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported, reaching a total of 23,575,066 analyzed nationwide. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 3.19% and in the Metropolitan Region, 4%.
With regard to Health Residences, we currently have 57 accommodation facilities, with 5,376 total beds. The real occupancy nationwide is 69%, leaving a total of 1,257 beds available to be used.
