Minsal extends the state of health emergency due to Covid-19 until August 31

Through a decree, the Ministry of Health (Minsal) determined the extension of the health alert for Covid-19 in the country, postponing it from March 31 to August 31, 2023.

The measure, which bears the signature of the minister of the portfolio, Ximena Aguilera, will allow resources to continue to be allocated, both to vaccination and to the necessary safeguards that the State must provide to combat contagion.

Within the funds that will continue to be allocated, there is the rental of sanitary residences and a series of special operations, among others.

“Get vaccinated with the duo”

On the other hand, the Minsal announced that they are carrying out the “Vaccinate with the couple” campaign, which calls on the population at risk to go to the nearest health facilities to get vaccinated against influenza and the Bivalent dose against the Covid-19.

According to the agency’s website, there are currently no medical contraindications for them to be administered the same day. However, they recommend the same precautions: drink plenty of water and avoid straining with the inoculated arms.
