Minsait Payments consolidates the acquisition of Nexus and strengthens itself in the payment method industry in Latin America

This year, the payment company has also acquired 100% of the Ecuadorian company Credimatic, one of the leading payment operators in Ecuador, thus increasing its capacity to provide services to companies in any sector. Today, from its operating centers in Spain and Chile, it develops solutions for all of Europe and Latin America.

The value proposition of Nexus, which works for banking and non-banking entities, also has a clear industrial fit with the activity of Minsait Payments and completes its catalog with additional services such as fraud management and control and back office services. Likewise, the Minsait Payments platform in Chile will allow Nexus clients to boost their business, meeting the highest standards in the payment industry and generating significant operational efficiencies.

Parallel to the acquisition, contracts have been signed with part of the selling banks that guarantee the continuity of the provision of services for the next few years and that consolidate the relationship of Minsait Payments as a technological partner of the main banks in the country.

With this operation we consolidate our leadership in the payment method industry in Latin America, which constitutes one of the pillars of growth for our company. In addition, we will be able to provide more innovative solutions and the latest technologies for the payment industry, as well as provide cutting-edge services related to Open Banking.”.

Today, from the Chile hub, Minsait Payments develops projects for clients throughout the region. Since 2020, it has incorporated more than 50 new clients, including fintechs, neobanks, financial entities and non-financial verticals. Of these new incorporations, 15 of them have occurred in 2022, which confirms the positive evolution of the processing business in Latin America. The company also has another operating center in Spain from which it provides service to all of Europe.
