MINSA will be strict with compliance with biosafety measures

Celia douglas

The Ministry of Health reiterates to the population the importance of complying with biosafety measures, such as the correct use of the mask, frequent hand washing and capacity in social, cultural, commercial and other activities.

The reiterative call is due to the existence of a fourth wave in several countries around the world and to the rebound of cases in some provinces of the country,

MINSA will be the guarantor of faithful compliance with these provisions and will continue to strengthen epidemiological and genomic surveillance, as well as virus prevention and mitigation actions, since, up to now, the epidemiological figures in the Chiriquí region remain on a plateau in the last two weeks, with a downward trend and with few patients in the ward and in the ICU.

As the governing body, the Minsa reminds businessmen, event organizers, local authorities and the citizens themselves that all permits for the development of activities that bring together a plural number of people must be processed only at the regional health office, it will have to be presented by means of a note addressed to the biosafety department, with its respective protocol and 15 days in advance.

The regional Health authorities will ensure strict compliance with these regulations, so it is also recommended to local authorities that all mass activity must have the required permits and the biosecurity measures established to avoid contagion by Covid-19.
