Minsa reports 7,004 new cases of Covid-19 in Panama

The report from the Department of Epidemiology of the Minsa indicates that 692,634 confirmed accumulated cases of Covid-19 are reported in Panama, of which 7,004 are new cases. For the last 24 hours, 18 deaths are reported for a cumulative of 7,698 deaths and a lethality of 1.1%.

The recovered cases total 609,857, of which 11,352 are new recovered. In the last hours, 24,221 tests were applied for a positivity of 28.9%.

Active cases total 75,079, of which 74,254 are in home isolation and 825 hospitalized.

Those in isolation are divided into 74,002 at home and 252 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 746 in the ward and 79 in the ICU.

In case of presenting symptoms related to the virus, the person should seek medical attention immediately and undergo a Covid-19 test.
