The epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health records for this Friday, January 21, 626,890 cases accumulated by Covid-19, of which 11,933 turned out to be new positive cases.
Unfortunately, in the last 24 hours, 9 deaths were recorded, for a cumulative total of 7,574 and a fatality rate of 1.2%.
Health personnel applied 32,909 tests for a positivity of 36.3%.
Active cases total 84,113, of which 82,913 are in home isolation and 470 in hotels.
Those hospitalized add up to 730, of which 662 are in the ward and 68 in intensive care.
The Ministry of Health reminds the population not to lower their guard and continue to apply biosafety measures, such as the use of a mask, alcohol gel, a face shield in public passenger transport, hand washing, physical distancing and the use of of alcohol.
Pediatric vaccination will be carried out until Saturday, January 22, for children between 5 and 11 years old, in circuits 8-6 in San Miguelito and in circuits 8-10, which includes Central Panama and East Panama.
