MINSA participates in Digital Transformation in Health workshop at PAHO

The Ministry of Health, representing Panama, participated in the workshop on Digital Transformation in Health and Application of Artificial Intelligence in Health, at the headquarters of the World Health Organization (PAHO) in Washington DC, United States.

Félix Correa, National Director of Planning of the Ministry of Health, stated that a workshop on Digital Transformation in Health and application of Artificial Intelligence in Health was held, where “We have presented successful cases of different experiences in recent years in Panama and also the route for Digital Transformation in Health in the country.”

Digital transformation is one of the challenges that the health system must face in the coming years and Panama does not escape that reality, Correa said.

Finally, Correa reported that it is expected that with this roadmap in the future there will be a path outlined, where digital transformation efforts should be focused to improve access to health services for patients with more equity by applying the technology.
