The Ministry of Health (Minsa) met with representatives of the Internal United Physicians of Panama, this meeting was chaired by Alessandro Ganci, advisor to the Superior Office.

“We are going to seek a balance between institutional work and the teaching part so that they complete their training and become suitable doctors duly educated within the public health system,” said Ganci.

For his part, Julio Nevado, spokesman for the Internal United Physicians movement of Panama, indicated that the objective of the movement is to have a better health system guaranteeing the quality of medical care for each of our patients.

“We are going to demand that our rights have been fulfilled, as well as the revision of the regulations for internal doctors and residents, which have many shortcomings and shortages,” said Nevado.

Meanwhile, Cretina Jiménez, president of the Association of Internal Doctors of the Santo Tomás Hospital, stated that they are not alone, that the association of internal doctors is here to support and advise them and as an association they can be a starting point for the solutions of the union .
