The Ministry of Health (Minsa) extended the date for the delivery of economic proposals related to the tender for the construction of the new National Oncology Institute (ION), in the district of Ancón, for another month.
The presentation of proposals was scheduled for today, April 28, and after the request of the consortiums interested in the millionaire project, it was postponed until May 31, according to the Panama Compra portal.
This public act, which was announced on March 3, includes the study, design, construction and maintenance of one of the most anticipated works in the country, such as a new structure that houses the National Oncology Institute.
According to Carlos Candanedo, national director of Infrastructure of the Minsa, they are currently formalizing the bidding process for this project, for which they are open to hearing the questions of the more than 30 companies that were attracted by the public event.
The Minsa and the Administrative Unit of Reverted Assets (UABR) of the Ministry of Economy and Finance identified an area, about 200 meters from the City of Health, for the development of this project.
The land assigned by the UABR to the Minsa has an extension of just over 9.6 hectares, which are valued at $12.2 million.
