Minsa begins construction of 12 hospitals with an investment of more than S/ 1.1 billion

The Ministry of Health (Minsa), through the National Health Investment Program (Pronis), has begun the construction of 12 new health facilities in nine regions of Peru, with a historic investment of S/ 1,149,642,589.41.

These works, which will benefit more than 700,000 inhabitants, include hospitals and health centres in towns such as Cajamarca, Lambayeque, Apurímac, Amazonas, La Libertad, Cusco, Lima, Puno and Piura.

The Chincheros Hospital in Apurímac, which will begin construction in August, will have modern services and a 3-story infrastructure to serve more than 174,361 people. These investments reflect the commitment of the Government of President Dina Boluarte to improve the medical infrastructure in the country.

“This has been done through the National Health Investment Program (Pronis), which has begun the construction of 12 essential health facilities, as part of a commitment to close the gaps in medical infrastructure in the country,” indicated Minsa advisor Lidia Saccatoma,
