The operation begins on Thursday, April 14, at the main tolls and bus stops, while on Saturday, April 16, it will be carried out on the country’s beaches, resorts, and rivers, according to a press release.
More than 500 people from Ministry of women will be distributing flyers and materials alluding to the prevention of gender and domestic violence with the message “Live without violence it is possible” and the emergency line service *212.
The Minister for Women, Mayra Jiménez, said that during the meeting with the COE It is intended to impact more than 250,000 people, taking the message of orientation to the public that in “Holy Week to live without violence it is possible”.
Six bus and toll terminals will be visited by the staff of the Ministry of women in Greater Santo Domingo and the National District, among which are Caribe Tours, Cibao Transportation, Spinal Transportation and the bus and minibus terminal kilometer 9 of the Duarte highwayas well as the stops towards San Pedro de Macorís, La Romana and Higüey.
The beaches that will be affected by this awareness-raising action are Boca Chica, Guayacanes, Los Patos de Barahona, Las Terreras, Sosúa, Palenque, El Morro, while the rivers are Masipedro and Comateamong others.
