Ministry of Public Works resolves problem of sewerage system collapsed by garbage

As part of the maintenance work carried out by the Ministry of Public Works (MOP), the Canal Area Division, in coordination with IDAAN, attended to a sewage system that was completely collapsed due to poor garbage disposal on Nicaragua Avenue and 24 East Street in Calidonia, next to the Social Security Fund (CSS).

“Thanks to this inter-institutional support, this problem was resolved in this sensitive area of ​​the country and we will continue with this work in other sectors of the country,” said Architect Manuel Salazar, director of the Canal Area of ​​the MOP.

The official stressed that, “Since the beginning of this new administration led by the Minister of Public Works, José Luis Andrade, intensive operations have been carried out: patching, repair of sewers, maintenance of green areas, cleaning of curbs and drains, among others.”
