During a statement to the media, Mojica also reported that more than 25 stores that are dedicated to the sale of fireworks were inspected by the Diasp, to verify that the requirements established for the handling, handling and storage of this type of fireworks are being met. material.
The Diasp director indicated that only commercial premises authorized by the entity will be able to sell fireworks for the New Year’s Eve festivities.
The premises that sell fireworks should be far from schools, nursing homes, residences and fuel stations.
He explained that resolution No. 163/Diasp/Ual/22 of Thursday, September 15, 2022, establishes regulations regarding the exercise of transit, import, transportation, distribution, handling, manufacturing, storage, use, and/or burning activities. , commercialization, export, re-export, disposal and destruction of pyrotechnic material.
The Diasp has the power to confiscate and penalize the owners of the premises that do not comply with the requirements. The operations and verification of commercial premises dedicated to the sale of pyrotechnic material have already begun with the support of the Public Force, the Fire Department and the National Civil Protection System, in order to enforce the law and avoid a tragedy.
