The Ministry of Production (Produce) authorized the transfer of S/ 2,300,668 in favor of the National Fisheries Health Agency (Sanipes) for the execution of hydrobiological evaluation activities.
Through Ministerial Resolution No. 00270-2022-Produce, published today in the newspaper El Peruano, said transfer was approved charged to the resources collected for fishing rights, in the source of financing directly collected resources.
The legal device details the execution of the following activities:
- Milestones 3 and 4 of the activity “Evaluation of environmental contaminants and physical-chemical conditions in hydrobiological resources of commercial importance in the literal zone of Peru”, for which S/ 1.2 million is allocated.
- Milestone 4 of the activity “Sanitary Revaluation of the bivalve mollusc production areas of zone 012 Sechura Bay”, allocating S/ 1.7 million.
In addition, the rule provides that, prior to the execution of the activities indicated, proceed in accordance with the provisions of the “Operating Regulations of the Special Commission in charge of analyzing, evaluating, approving and prioritizing the execution of activities and/or projects with purposes of scientific and technological research, training and others linked to fishing development, charged to resources from fishing rights”.
It is worth mentioning that the financial resources of the aforementioned transfer may not be used, under responsibility, for purposes other than those for which they are transferred.
According to the Regulations of the General Fisheries Law, the Ministry of Production has to allocate resources for the execution of activities and/or projects for the purposes of scientific and technological research, training and others related to fishing and/or aquaculture development.
Finally, the rule also indicates that this ministerial resolution must be published on the institutional website of Produce.
