The forecast is that, in February, the first block will be auctioned, with four port projects located in Macapá, Natal, Porto Alegre and Recife. The expectation is that the block will receive approximately R$230 million in investments.

For March, the auction of Tecon Santos 10 is scheduled, a project with expected investments in the range of R$ 6.4 billion, to increase the cargo handling capacity of the Port of Santos by 50%.

The minister’s expectation is to launch this notice between the end of February and the beginning of March, so that the auction can take place in April.

“We are working to present a detailed schedule for Tecon Santos 10 next week,” said the minister, referring to the new cargo terminal that will have an area of 621 thousand square meters. “It will be the biggest auction in the history of Brazil”, he added.

Another project to be auctioned is the Paraguay Waterway, which will help with the flow of products in South America.

According to the minister, this concession should be made in the second half of 2026. “It will be the first waterway concession in Brazil. We expect investments of more than R$60 million to be made [nesta hidrovia]. From then on, we will move forward strongly in this agenda of Brazilian waterway concessions”, he said.

Silvio Costa Filho also highlighted, among the priorities for 2026, the auction of Galeão airport, in Rio de Janeiro, scheduled for March 30, and 20 other regional airports.

“We are reducing investments in regional airports to pass them on to the private sector, like the 13 auctions we held last year, in order to remove the responsibility of taking care of the airport from mayors and governors. Because, I think, this falls to the private sector”, argued the minister.
